Attorney Breanne Bucher earned her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana in 2010. Prior to this, in 2007, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona where she majored in Criminal Justice Studies with a Minor in Spanish.
She successfully passed the Wisconsin Bar Examination on her first attempt and began her legal career as an associate attorney at Bucher Law Group in Delafield, Wisconsin, where she worked alongside her father. In 2014, she joined another local private practice firm and was named partner in 2017. She joined Bucher, Wolff, & Sonderhouse, LLP as a named partner in 2022.
While in law school, Attorney Bucher gained extensive courtroom experience through the Valparaiso Criminal Legal Clinic, representing indigent clients charged with misdemeanors and serious felony offenses. She also interned with the Lake County Public Defender’s Office in Indiana, further developing her skills in criminal defense. Throughout law school and early on in her practice, Attorney Bucher also developed a passion for family and juvenile law, as well as Guardian ad Litem work.
Attorney Bucher regularly serves as Guardian ad Litem and advocate counsel in Waukesha County and represents clients in a wide range of criminal, municipal, family and juvenile matters, including but not limited to: criminal misdemeanor/felony offenses, OWIs, legal custody and physical placement disputes, child support issues, CHIPS cases, guardianships, termination of parental rights/adoption, and juvenile delinquency cases.
Attorney Bucher is a past president of her law school’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, a national legal fraternity, and an active member of the Association of Women Lawyers and the Waukesha County Bar Association. She served for several years as Chair of the Juvenile Law Section of the Waukesha County Bar Association and was honored early on in her career as the Waukesha County Bar Association’s “2013 Rookie of the Year.” She has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for ten consecutive years.
Attorney Bucher has served for the past five years as a volunteer judge for the Waukesha County Teen Court program. This program focuses on restorative justice for youth offenders. She is also a supplemental court commissioner for the Honorable William J. Domina.
She resides in Waukesha County and remains deeply committed to serving both the local legal community and the community at large. She is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, enjoys live music, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
